Yarn Bombing Los Angeles (YBLA) is a group of guerrilla knitters who have been collaborating since 2010 to stage public installations and performances to help expand the definition of public art to include self initiated, temporal urban interventions such as yarn bombing. All welcome at YBLA's monthly meetings every 3rd Saturday, 2-5pm at Craft and Folk Art Museum 5814 Wilshire Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90036
We've officially covered the Craft and Folk Art Museum in 8,000 granny squares from 500 participants, 49 states and 25 countries around the world! Read more about the project HERE, stop by 5840 Wilshire Blvd from May 16-July 1 to see the installation in person, and tag all your photos with #GRANNYSQUARED so we can share the love! The reception for the installation is May 25 from 7-9, and is open to the public for $12. For all press inquiries, please email: yarnbombing18 (at) gmail (dot) com. Whoo!
