After deinstalling the CAFAM Granny Squared installation at the Craft and Folk Art Museum in Museum Row district of Los Angeles, the granny square project will enter it’s second phase in the Skid Row district until December 2013.

For the second phase of the granny square project YBLA is partnering with  Downtown Women's Center (DWC)  for a collaboration that includes:

-Creating blankets out of the squares for DWC residents.

-Developing a product that DWC residents can produce and sell in the DWC store MADE.

-Working with the women to develop skills related to product making.

-Creating a series of public installations on the facade of the building that includes a series of Urban Letters installations and another granny square arrangement.
